- Management and Administration: The operating system has a modernized user interface that resembles Windows 11 and includes native tools like DTrace and the Winget package manager. Upgrades from Windows Server 2012 R2 and later are supported. The OpenSSH server-side component is now installed by default.

Windows Server 2025 is available in Standard and Datacenter editions. Mainstream support is scheduled to end on November 13, 2029, with extended support continuing until November 14, 2034
