The OS also has optimized NVMe storage performance, which can deliver up to 60% more storage IOPS compared to Windows Server 2022 on identical systems.
- Management and Administration: The operating system has a modernized user interface that resembles Windows 11 and includes native tools like DTrace and the Winget package manager. Upgrades from Windows Server 2012 R2 and later are supported. The OpenSSH server-side component is now installed by default.
- Advanced Multi-layer Security: This includes "Secured-core" server capabilities to protect against firmware vulnerabilities and advanced malware. It also supports technologies like TPM 2.0, UEFI Secure Boot, and DNS over HTTPS (DoH) for enhanced security.
